French actress Rosette (born Rosette Quéré) specialized in supporting portrayals in features produced in her native country. She was arguably most effective as physically attractive yet unremarkable, domestic types of a quiet and well-meaning nature. Rosette developed and sustained particularly strong ties to the cinema of New Wave pioneer Eric Rohmer, whose films shared some of the same qualities with which Rosette came to be associated; together, they worked on features including the 1983 Pauline at the Beach, the 1986 Le Rayon Vert, and the 1992 A Tale of Winter. In 2008, Rosette signed on for a supporting role in the director's lyrical romantic saga Les Amours d'Astrée et Céladon. Additional directors with whom Rosette enjoyed collaborative relationships include Patrick Schulmann, Nicolas Klotz, and Philippe Collin.
