French cinematographer Roger Hubert was considered among the best in his field and was noted for his ability to change his style to suit that of his director. He began his long, distinguished career in 1923 and went on to work with such celebrated filmmakers as Cocteau, Feyder and Gance. Hubert continued working right up to his death in 1964.
