biography
Robert Milton, born Robert Davidor in Dinaburgh, Russia, gained his early experience in the New York theater where he wrote, produced, directed, and acted in many plays. He directed his first films in 1929 and remained in Hollywood to direct films through 1934. After that he resumed his work in New York.
