Producer Richard Vane made his directorial debut with the Arnold Schwarzenegger comedy Jingle All the Way (1996) which he co-directed with Brian Levan. As a producer, Vane has worked for John Hughes Entertainment on several major projects, including Dennis the Menace (1993). Before working for Hughes, Vane was associated with Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment as a location manager on such films as E.T.: The Extraterrestrial (1982) and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984).
