biography
For 30 years, Raymond Stross and his self-titled production company made many erotic films, including A Question of Adultery and The Flesh Is Weak (1957). Stross started out in British films as an editor, reader, and assistant cameraman. He then directed a few programmers and in 1940 bought a chain of theaters. In 1950, he sold it to finance Raymond Stross Productions. Eleven of the 35 films produced by the company starred Stross' wife, Anne Heywood.
