English producer/director Randall H. Faye started out as a screenwriter in 1928. Faye's writing assignments included the chop-licking Tod Slaughter melodrama Murder in the Red Barn (1935). As a director, he was most active in the years 1934 to 1938, turning out such above-average programmers as This Green Hell (1936) and Born That Way (1937). As producer, Randall H. Faye's best-known effort was 1933's Cash, a Robert Donat vehicle currently widely available on the public-domain market under the title If I Were Rich.
