Biography by AllMovie

Born in San Antonio, TX, and raised in Los Angeles, actor Steve Howey rose to feature filmdom out of small-screen series work, making frequent appearances in situation comedies. Early assignments included starring in Reba (2001-2004) as Reba Hart's daughter's boyfriend (and the father of Reba's grandchild), and making occasional guest appearances on series programs including ER and The Drew Carey Show. Howey transitioned to features with a contribution to the sports drama thrill ride Supercross: The Movie (2005), and followed this up with a supporting role as Kate Hudson's husband-to-be in the romantic comedy Bride Wars (2008). In 2011, he booked a regular role on Showtime's Shameless, while still finding time to book guest roles on shows like New Girl and Sons of Anarchy.
