biography
Like his elder brother, Gustaf Molander, Olof Molander was a filmmaker. He was known for making serious films and for getting excellent performances from his actors. Molander, born in Helsinki, Finland, got his start in theater where he primarily worked with Strindberg Productions. In the mid-'20s, following a stint as the head of Stockholm's Royal Dramatic Theater, Molander turned to filmmaking.
