Max Farberbock on AllMovie

Max Farberböck studied at the College of Film and Television in Munich, Germany. He worked for a film production company and later took a position at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus Theatre as Peter Zadek's assistant before working as a theatre director in Hamburg, Heidelberg, and Cologne. His collaboration on the television series Der Fahnder led him to writing and directing television films. Aimee & Jaguar, his first film for theatrical release, opened the 49th International Berlin Film Festival and received its Teddy Bear Award, given to films with a homosexual subject, while the two female leads Juliane Köhler and Maria Schrader both received the Silver Bear for Best Actress.
