biography
A major stage star of the Victorian theater, Mark Fenton had appeared opposite some of the era's leading lights including Madame Modjeska and Otis Skinner. Quite elderly by the time he entered films, Fenton nevertheless did yeoman duty in countless silent melodramas, often cast as a dastardly villain. His death in 1925 was attributed to the aftereffect of an automobile accident.
