Madge West began her long, varied career at age five playing opposite William S. Hart in the lavish epic Broadway play Ben Hur. Her stage career continued sporadically until the advent of television whereupon she began appearing on such live shows as Kraft Television Theatre and The Gary Moore Show. West also made the occasional appearance in feature films. Later, she appeared in over 1,400 television commercials. West also spent 30 years as the director of a Nashville-based children's theater.
