biography
A former stockbroker and short-story writer for Munsey publications, L. V. Jefferson became one of Hollywood's most prolific screenwriters, churning out hundreds of mostly budget-Western scenarios between 1915 and 1936, often working with such Gower Gulch regulars as Helen Gibson, Benjamin F. Wilson, and Denver Dixon. Earlier in his career, Jefferson was associated with director Irwin Willat, who credited him with co-directing the 1921 crime drama Partners of the Tide.
