Biography by AllMovie

Heavyweight silent screen actor Louis Morrison had toured for theatrical entrepreneurs David Belasco and Charles Frohman prior to making his screen debut for producer Thomas Ince in 1913. Playing all kinds of character roles, often comedic in nature, Morrison used his 200-pound frame to the hilt, especially portraying King Cole in a 1915 screen version of Rumpelstilskin, the innkeeper in Tarzan and the Apes (1918), and the police commissioner in The Unholy Three (1925). He retired at the advent of sound.
