A former dancer with the Marion Morgan troupe, Lorayne DuVal was awarded a contract with Universal in 1928. Much publicity ensued but DuVal's acting debut opposite the breezy Reginald Denny in His Lucky Day (1929) was one of those tedious part-talkies and not much liked. She appeared in a couple of episodes of Universal's resident college situation comedy, The Collegians, then retired.
