biography
A dark-haired leading man to such stage stars as Julia Marlowe and Anne Russell, Lionel Adams also appeared in the original Broadway production of Ben Hur opposite future screen legend William S. Hart. Onscreen with Vitagraph from around 1913, Adams later played Cynius to Mary Garden's Thais (1917) and was Thomas Jefferson in Marion Davies' Janice Meredith (1924), his final screen role.
