biography
Spanish director Julio Coll entered the film industry as a screenwriter for Emisora Films after spending the late '40s and early '50s as a novelist, playwright, and film critic. While working at Emisora, Coll wrote or co-wrote scripts for over 50 films. He left the company in 1956 and two years later Coll founded his own production company, Juro Films. Coll retired from the film industry and spent the rest of his life following his other interests, which included parapsychology, jazz, and teaching.
