biography
Spanish director José Luis Guerín made an auspicious directorial debut with his drama Elogio a las Musa/Eulogy to Muses; he also produced the film. Guerín taught himself how to make movies in his teens when he armed himself with a super-8 camera and started shooting short films. In 1997, he earned kudos for his Tren de Sombras/Train of Dreams.
