With his wild red curls, blue eyes, and cute freckled face, Johnny Whitaker was a popular child star during the late '60s through the early '70s who started out with a major role in Norman Jewison's the Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming! (1966). The same year he landed the role of little Jodie on the syrupy sitcom Family Affair (1966-1971). In 1971, he appeared as a demonically possessed boy in Steven Spielberg's made-for-television film Something Evil. The following year, he contracted with Disney Studios and appeared in a string of live-action features. A devout Mormon, Whitaker attended Brigham Young University during the mid-'70s, but left to go on a two-year mission. He then become involved with computers and no longer performs.
