Multi-talented, versatile composer John Frizzell has scored a variety of features ranging from the disaster movie Dante's Peak (1997) to the sci-fi actioner Alien Resurrection (1997) to the adolescent animated comedy Beavis and Butthead Do America (1996). He entered the music industry at age ten, as a boy soprano with the Paris Opera Company. He stayed with them until his voice changed. Later, he attended the University of Southern California School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music. He did his first film work as a synthesist and orchestrator with Ryuichi Sakamoto on Wild Palms. Frizzell had his first composing job scoring the short-lived but acclaimed Fox television show VR 5.
