biography
A comedian and the star of many Broadway musicals, Jerry Lester also made a few feature films, such as Arizona to Broadway (1933). He is best remembered for his television work during the 1950s, when he worked as a host and emcee for shows ranging from Cavalcade of Stars to Pantomime Quiz to Saturday Night Dance Party. Much later, Lester returned to acting, appearing on such television series as Robert Montgomery Presents, Miami Undercover, The Monkees, and Barnaby Jones.
