biography
Jane Dornacker started out as a comedienne in San Francisco. The Albuquerque-born actress then became a songwriter and founded the all-woman rock group Leila and the Snakes. As an actress she appeared in The Right Stuff (1983) and in Stand-In (1985). She died in a helicopter crash in 1986 while reporting a story on the Hudson River.
