Songwriter Jack Scholl penned songs for Warner Bros. from the mid-'30s to the mid-'40s for such films as Casablanca (1942). He got his start penning lyrics in conjunction with such tunesmiths as Eubie Blake. Scholl's best-known songs include "Throw Another Log on the Fire" and "It Had to Be You." Scholl collaborated on the story for Music in Manhattan. In 1950, he directed Holiday Rhythm.
