biography
American director Jack Bernhard was limited to "B" pictures for most of his career. Titles essential to the Bernhard ouevre include Decoy (1946), Appointment with Murder (1948) and Search for Danger (1948). Arguably his best feature was Alaska Patrol (1949), a routine espionage drama effectively told in semi-documentary fashion. In addition to directing, Jack Bernhard also wrote and produced many of his films.
