A former secretary, Iris Stuart (born Frances McCann) became one of the highest-paid models of the 1920s and was known worldwide as the "Girl with a Million Faces." Despite being pronounced a WAMPAS Baby Star in 1927, her screen career proved less than satisfying and she quickly left Hollywood to marry publisher Bert McKinnon. Her early death was attributed to tuberculosis.
