biography
Director Harold Shaw started his film career in 1909. Before that, the Tennessee native performed on-stage. In 1911, Shaw began directing; two years later, he moved to England and directed numerous films. Many of them starred Edna Flugrath, his wife. Shaw came back to the U.S. in 1922 to continue directing until his retirement in 1924.
