Biography by AllMovie

A handsome Italian screen actor, Guido Trento played Tullius in J. Gordon Edwards' production of Nero (1922), filmed on location in Rome and starring Hollywood's Violet Mersereau as a Christian martyr. Edwards and the Fox company re-teamed Trento with Mersereau in The Shepherd King (1925), filmed in the Palestine, and he seemed destined for a Hollywood career. Alas, a heavy accent precluded starring roles and Trento would appear only in a few bit parts in sound films. During World War II, he was one of the many resident aliens from enemy countries placed in what can only be termed a California-version of a concentration camp.
