biography
American actress Grace McDonald spent her entire film career at Universal. From 1940 to 1945, McDonald sang and tap-danced her way through such brisk "B" tunefests as Dancing on a Dime (1940), Give Out Sisters (1942) and My Gal Loves Music (1944). She also withstood the slapstickery of Abbott and Costello in It Ain't Hay (1943) and Olsen and Johnson's See My Lawyer (1945). Grace McDonald's most curious Universal assignment was 1944's Destiny, in which, despite her considerable dancing skills, she played her entire part sitting down!
