biography
As the leader of one of the world's most popular bands of the '30s and '40s, it is small wonder that Glenn Miller and his players would occasionally be featured in Hollywood films. He also appeared as an actor in two features. In 1954, ten years after his death, the bandleader's life was immortalized in the excellent The Glenn Miller Story with James Stewart playing the title role.
