biography
British actor George Pastell began appearing in films as early as 1952. He was busiest at the Hammer Studios in the late '50s to early '60s, playing supporting roles in such melodramas as The Mummy (1959) (as the High Priest), Stranglers of Bombay (1961), and The Siege of Sidney Street (1962). His TV credits included the long-running cult favorites Dr. Who and The Avengers. As far as can be determined, George Pastell retired in 1969.
