Austrian-born cinematographer Fritz Mandl started out as a newsreel photographer in Europe. After that, he worked briefly in Spanish films and shot much footage of the Spanish Civil War. Just prior to WWII, Mandl came to the U.S. and became a photographer for the Army Signal Corps. During the '50s, Mandl began doing camerawork on various television series. He also filmed one Russ Meyer feature, Seven Minutes.
