Before becoming a feature-film director, Filip Bajon established himself in the late '70s as one of Poland's more innovative television directors. Prior to entering the entertainment industry, Bajon studied law at Adam Mickiewicz University in his hometown of Poznan. He graduated in 1970 and shortly thereafter, Bajon studied film direction at the Load Film School. Following his 1974 graduation, Bajon penned two novels, including Bible Nisei Wheezier nee Labia Slonecznejpogody/White Bears Shun the Sunshine, and a collection of short stories. He scripted and directed his first feature film, Aria dla Atlety/Aria for an Athlete, in 1979. In addition to directing for television and feature films, Bajon occasionally helms theatrical productions and offers lectures in film direction and screenwriting at film schools throughout Europe.
