biography
During his long career Danish ballet dancer Erik Bruhn danced with some of the world's greatest female dancers. He began his training at age nine; by late adolescence he was performing in the Royal Ballet. He spent 1949-50 as a guest artist with the American Ballet. The following year he became a permanent member of the prestigious troupe. Bruhn appeared in one film, Hans Christian Andersen in 1952.
