biography
A veteran touring company actress, Emma Tansey is perhaps best remembered as the mother of the low-budget Tansey dynasty, a clan that included her three sons, producer/writer/director Robert Emmett Tansey and actors Sheridan Tansey and John Tansey. Emma Tansey appeared in many of her sons' films but is probably more remembered for playing nice old ladies in the comedies of W.C. Fields.
