biography
A lady of many talents (and an equal amount of aliases), Elsie Fuller was educated in London and made her stage debut in New York. Billed under her real name, Else La Cour, Fuller played the ingénue in a series of Young Buffalo Westerns filmed in New York's Adirondacks in 1919 and starring stage actor Philip Yale Drew. She billed herself Elsie Fuller in Hollywood's The Matrimonial Web (1921) and the British Tons of Money (1924) but used her married name, Von Koczian, when co-penning (with Hope Loring and Julian Johnson) Pola Negri's The Woman on Trial (1928). Relocating to Berlin, Germany, with her talent agent husband, Fuller reportedly wrote screenplays for UFA. She was the mother of German actress Johanna Von Koczian.
