Using the penname Adam Hall, British author Elleston Trevor wrote 18 popular novels chronicling the exploits of his spy, Quiller. One installment,The Quiller Memorandum (1965) earned him an Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America. In 1966, the novel became a popular movie starring George Segal. Other Trevor books that have made it to the big or small screen include Flight of the Phoenix (filmed in 1965), Quiller(The Series), and the made-for-TV movie The Penthouse.
