biography
Born in England in 1959, TV personality "Downtown" Julie Brown grew up on a series of military bases all over the world, as her father was enlisted in the Royal Air Force. After taking home the top prize at a disco dancing championship in 1979, Brown began making the rounds on European TV, hosting music-oriented shows like Crackerkjack. She soon moved overseas to become a VJ for MTV, where she was known for her trademark phrase "Wubba Wubba Wubba." After leaving MTV, Brown worked for ESPN and E!, and would appear on a wide variety of television shows over the coming years, like Walker, Texas Ranger, and Hey Arnold!
