biography
Screenwriter Dewitt Bodeen began his career as a stage actor and a playwright. He entered films in the late 1930s as a reader at RKO and then became Aldous Huxley's research assistant for Jane Eyre. Following that he became a scriptwriter for RKO, working alone or in collaboration. During the early 1950s, he began writing teleplays. He also contributed articles to film journals and wrote books on film. He occasionally helped out on film scripts.
