biography
American director David Selman's first picture was 1922's Remember. During the talkie era, Selman served as an assistant director for such A-list helmsmen as Frank Capra. From 1935 to 1938, his directorial output consisted almost exclusively of Westerns. Among the cowboy stars put through their paces by David Selman were Charles Starrett, Tim McCoy, and William "Hopalong Cassidy" Boyd.
