Actor Christopher Jones is perhaps best remembered for playing Jesse James on the television Western The Legend of Jesse James (1965-1966) and for his brief but tempestuous marriage to actress Susan Strasberg. At one time compared to James Dean, Jones typically played hot-blooded young men in films such as Wild in the Streets (1968) and Chubasco (1968). He also appeared in David Lean's WWI drama Ryan's Daughter (1970) before abruptly retiring from acting. He died in 2014 at age 72.
