Infamously ostentatious wide receiver Chad Ochocinco was born Chad Javon Johnson in Miami, FL. After playing for his college team at Oregon State, the athlete began his career with the NFL following the second round of the 2001 draft, when he joined the ranks of the Cincinnati Bengals. He would be honored with Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection several times over the coming years, and he set numerous records, including the most receiving yards per game. He legally changed his surname to Ochocinco (the Spanish translation of the number on his jersey) in 2008. Ochocinco would prove to be a prominent figure in popular culture, due both to his role in the NFL and to his public persona, appearing in his own segment on the series Sports Soup, maintaining an active Twitter account, and competing on the popular reality series Dancing With the Stars in 2010.
