biography
A swarthy supporting actor from Paris, Bob Klein had been a ballroom dancer prior to making his screen debut with American of Santa Barbara, CA, in the early 1910s. A versatile actor, Klein could play anything from crooked aristocrats (Souls in Pawn, 1917) to Native Americans (Tom Mix's Do or Dare, 1922), but in the 1920s mainly appeared as garden-variety cattle rustlers. He should not be confused with the much later comedian of the same name.
