Beatriz Guido is primarily recognized as an Argentine novelist, known for her "angry" texts from the mid '50s, but she is also a screenwriter who has penned all of (her husband) filmmaker Leopoldo Torre Nilsson's screenplays including Las cas del angel (1975) and Pierda libre (1976). She has also written numerous screenplays for other directors. Guido was born into a liberal upper-class family who believed that women deserve equal opportunity. In France, she studied philosophy with Gabriel Marcel. She also studied in Italy.
