biography
A dark-haired WAMPAS Baby Star of 1934, the last year that selection was held, Ann Hovey had been in the chorus of some of the popular Warner Bros. musicals, including 42nd Street and Gold Diggers of 1933. She appeared with the other 12 WAMPAS Babies (i.e., starlets) in both Kiss and Make Up and Young and Beautiful (both 1934), and played the leading man's snobbish sister in Circus Shadows (1935). That was about it for Ann Hovey, who drifted out of films in 1938.
