biography
Pianist Aminadav Aloni, despite his limited work in film, was actually a very prolific composer. He created over 100 pieces, most of which were performed in concert halls and also in synagogues. Born in Israel, Aloni came to the U.S. to study at Juilliard when he was 18. Eventually, he found himself on the West Coast and while there, he won a prestigious music competition, the Brooklyn Academy of Music Teachers Competition. He worked relatively heavily in television, and, on occasion, found himself creating music for film. He died in 1999, at age 71.
