biography
British screenwriter Alun Owen co-wrote the script for the 1964 Beatles classic film A Hard Day's Night and won an Oscar nomination for his efforts. He also co-scripted The Concrete Jungle (1960). He started out as an actor, with a small role in Men Are Children Twice (1953). He appeared in his last film, The Servant, in 1963. Owen also wrote episodes for numerous radio and television programs.
