Biography by AllMovie

Born in 1986, actress Alexandra Chando -- a native of Bethlehem, PA -- trained dramatically under the aegis of Alan Langdon at New York's Circle in the Square, then attended Manhattan College. Drawn to histrionics from the tender age of eight (when she immersed herself in community theater), Chando later became active in high-school stage productions including Our Miss Brooks and Anything Goes, and spent time in Los Angeles doing pilots for series including Fertile Ground and House Blend and appearing in the MTV reality series True Life in the episode "I'm Getting My Big Break." Chando is perhaps best known, however, for her turn as Maddie Coleman, the younger sister of Henry Coleman, on the CBS daytime soap opera As the World Turns -- an assignment that began in 2005. In 2011 she made the jump to the big screen with a major role in the horror film The Bleeding House.
