The treatment given to some very talented schizophrenics in an exclusive psychiatric hospital in the scenic town of Klosterneuburg stands out on its own against its posh backdrop. Each of the five patients in this documentary is recognized abroad for his talent as an artist or writer. The doctor, Leo Navrati, espouses the practice of encouraging patients to create as a means of therapy - and the results with these five schizophrenics have been outstanding. As the five men are interviewed and their cases studied, their artistic or literary work is showcased at the same time. The combination of person and creation speak eloquently for the technique advocated by Dr. Navrati.
