Backyard Kansas City filmmaker Todd Sheets (Zombie Rampage) returns with another cheaply made zombie gorefest, which, although an improvement on its predecessor, still fails to rise above the overly crowded straight-to-video horror film junkyard of the early '90s. A nuclear facility located atop an accursed Indian burial ground leaks radiation into the earth, unleashing a horde of cannibalistic ghouls to prey upon the local populace. The zombies aren't particularly menacing, although there are some graphically bloody scenes of gutspilling on display. Overall, a prime example of the subgenre termed "carnography" for its porn-like method of taking a few graphic scenes involving bodily fluids (in this case, blood) and surrounding them with a perfunctory, poorly executed story. Sheets' cheeky humor makes him more interesting than many carnographers. He returned the following year with Zombie Bloodbath II: Rage of the Undead.
