Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

In this unpretentious and somewhat slow-paced drama, an unmarried couple take off to spend some time together in a small-town hotel. While they plan a kind of idyllic getaway, both of them re-experience unwanted memories from World War II. The woman struggles over her remembrances of a young man who loved her very much, someone she eventually convinced to turn himself in to a hostile government. She was a communist at the time, and the film looks at both the leftist points of view and those of the former government before the end of World War II.
