Synopsis by Janiss Garza

For John Pollard (Charles Bowser), drink and debt go hand in hand. He's ready to marry his daughter Polly (Ethel Clayton) off to one of his creditors, but she won't have it. She's in love with Lieutenant Richard Travers (Edward Langford). The Lieutenant has created some plans that will foil enemy submarines. Not only does the U.S. government show interest, so do several other countries. Japanese Baron Wootchi (Montagu Love) knows Pollard is constantly in need of quick cash, so he offers the old man a 100,000 dollars to steal the plans. Pollard does and is about to hand them over to the Baron when Polly, who has found him out, bursts in and halts the transfer. The U.S. government accepts the plans, making the Lieutenant's fortune, and he forgives Pollard's dirty deed -- now that Pollard has put his blessing on his betrothal to Polly. Future comedy star Johnny Hines appears as the traditional "goofy soldier" comic relief.
